VA LOAN
- A loan made within the Department of Veteran's Affairs
guidelines.
VACANCY (VAC)
- Units which are not occupied. Lost revenue for vacancy (and
bad debts) can be expressed as dollars of lost revenue or a
percentage of Gross Scheduled Income or Potential Gross
Income.
VARIANCE
- A legal allowance to use property in a different way than
the zoning would normally allow.
VESTING
- The present ownership characteristics, rights and duties of
owners or co-owners with respect to each other.
VOID
- A contract with no legal significance or validity.
VOIDABLE
- A contract that appears valid but is terminable by one party
because of circumstances placing that party at a disadvantage.
VOLUNTARY ALIENATION
- A willing transfer of property to another by a gift,
exchange or sale of the property.
